General . . .

Toby Hession (b. 1997) is a British collaborative pianist, conductor and composer, and currently holds the position of Emerging Artist Répétiteur and Conductor at Scottish Opera (www.scottishopera.org.uk). He studied in the Opera School of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2019-21) and is a prize-winning graduate of Clare College, Cambridge (BA and MPhil, 2015-19), where he held a Choral Scholarship; he is also an alumnus of the prestigious Georg Solti Accademia. From 2010-15, Toby attended Chetham’s School of Music (Manchester), studying principally piano and composition.

Toby is a highly accomplished and multi-faceted, musician, experienced in a wide range of genres and styles of music, and establishing a reputation as a versatile performer and composer.
