General . . .

Toby Hession (b. 1997) is a British collaborative pianist, conductor and composer, and currently serving as a répétiteur and conductor on the music staff of Scottish Opera (www.scottishopera.org.uk). He studied in the Opera School of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2019-21) and is a prize-winning graduate of Clare College, Cambridge (BA and MPhil, 2015-19), where he held a Choral Scholarship; he is also an alumnus of the prestigious Georg Solti Accademia. From 2010-15, Toby attended Chetham’s School of Music (Manchester), studying principally piano and composition.

Toby is a highly accomplished and multi-faceted, musician, experienced in a wide range of genres and styles of music, and establishing a reputation as a versatile performer and composer.
